1 post · Joined 2014. #1 · May 2, 2014. In traffic queues there was a distinct clutch smell and then loss of ability to select gears. Cooled down on the hard shoulder and was ok again before AA arrived. Dealer cannot diagnose or fix. The car is March 2014 about 1200 miles, 1.0 Ecoboost. At the moment every longer trip is going to be a worry.

Please help. I've had the car 2 months. When I bought the car the weather was warm and had no problems. My daughter has recently taken delivery of a new Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost. The car is on a 3 year Personal contract purchase. She has experienced an intermittent problem where she has experienced a loss of power (turbo not working)and car goes into "limp" mode. A warning light appears with a sign indicating "engine needing service" If she stops
A 2014 1.0 EcoBoost should have had the coolant hose recall, and the clutch slip detection recall, if neither of those are showing as outstanding on ETIS then it's had them done already. 2 Quote
