The SD card in the glove box unit is the map programme for the sat nav. Skoda Octavia L&K 2.0TDI from 3/06 to 12/11; VW Golf Plus SE 1.6TDI DSG from 12/11 to 2/15So, if the hybrid system can self tune, it may be able to use the navigation Db when approaching a long descent regardless of route guidance or not; or whether Waze is in use or not. Hi, I'm a new owner and hoping for some help in updating the SatNav maps and importing POIs from my Garmin. As far I can make out, my 66 plate Octavia has an Amundsen infotainment system. The Version details seem to be: 5L0051236H 0521 ECE 2016. That indicates 2016 maps to me. I've downloaded "EC
OK, bear in mind that I have used many differing Sat Nav for many years. Currently own a Tom Tom, but the 2019 dash layout does not help placement at all, unlike my previous one (2009) My 2019 Octavia built-in (Amundsen, I think) however has THE most unfriendly menu system yet. Its inconsistent and contrary to the manual. Looking at the picture, you have either Columbus, which should have sat nav, or Bolero, which doesn't have it, but has all the needed hardware. If it's Columbus, it should work. If it's a Bolero, it shouldn't show sat nav in the menu, but at least in Europe you can buy it from the Skoda shop in the infotaiment. Å koda Octavia. Another member has also tried upgrading from the Bolero to Columbus and failed because of the security built into the Octy3 infotainment system. If you want navigation it must be spec'd at the factory, or use an aftermarket garmin/tomtom etc. qMgJ.
