The 2.0-litre diesel engine is a decent performer, though, and ensures the Octavia never feels short of pace, even when fully loaded. Niggles have been few and far between. The sat-nav has The Kenwood won't fit. Unless you can find a way to split the front face from the rear end and hide half in the glovebox, while grafting the screen into the dash. That's how the Columbus fits in your car. 25. Location: UK. Model: Skoda Octavia 2.0TDi Elegance DSG - White. Author. Posted 22 May, 2017.
My Garmin Map Pilot on Audio 20 does not recognize additional POI. I added the National Trust POI file in .gpi format to the SD card, folder POI. The SAT NAV does not recognize these POI , it just ignores the new file. I contacted both MB and Garmin customer services , but they provide little help referring me to each other.

Help may be required to hold the fin down. The nut may not come completely off - it has an anti-theft device - a small flap of metal on the nut. Once the nut is turning freely pull the fin up from the outside (may have to pull quite hard). The nut will fall off.

The OP referred to the manual stating it use Navigation data. My experience tells me my 1.5tsi uses navigation data for eco tips. Posted 26 September, 2021 (edited)

Hi, I'm a new owner and hoping for some help in updating the SatNav maps and importing POIs from my Garmin. As far I can make out, my 66 plate Octavia has an Amundsen infotainment system. The Version details seem to be: 5L0051236H 0521 ECE 2016. That indicates 2016 maps to me. I've downloaded "EC

OK, bear in mind that I have used many differing Sat Nav for many years. Currently own a Tom Tom, but the 2019 dash layout does not help placement at all, unlike my previous one (2009) My 2019 Octavia built-in (Amundsen, I think) however has THE most unfriendly menu system yet. Its inconsistent and contrary to the manual. Looking at the picture, you have either Columbus, which should have sat nav, or Bolero, which doesn't have it, but has all the needed hardware. If it's Columbus, it should work. If it's a Bolero, it shouldn't show sat nav in the menu, but at least in Europe you can buy it from the Skoda shop in the infotaiment. Å koda Octavia. Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013) Columbus Sat Nav Upgrade. Can anyone point me in the right direction please, I bought my Octavia 2nd hand (was registered March 09) which came with the Columbus sat nav already, although I use a TomTom which I find is much better I'd like to make sure the Columbus is up to date just in case my Å koda Octavia Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020) Sat Nav not working : ( Marketplace - Please use the new template for selling your car. Another member has also tried upgrading from the Bolero to Columbus and failed because of the security built into the Octy3 infotainment system. If you want navigation it must be spec'd at the factory, or use an aftermarket garmin/tomtom etc. qMgJ.
